Racial Lens is a client-centered Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) consulting service. With a background in psychotherapy and non-formal and adult education, our programs are tweaked to meet your needs.  The Racial Lens approach is to meet clients where they are starting from, without judgment, guilt, or shame.

Our anti-racist, anti-oppression, educational approach makes it easier for our clients to learn, unlearn, and become more conscious allies who contribute to the dismantlement of systematic racism. With Racial Lens, the goal is to educate and give clients tools and skills to help them on their journey as anti-racist allies.

While the Racial Lens approach focuses on teaching about racism and the systems that uphold it, we also present the intersection of other forms of oppression and how they manifest in real life. We examine sexism, patriarchy, homophobia, ableism, etc. All of these forms are examined to create understanding, compassion, and a catalyst to unearthing implicit and unconscious biases that are helped by everyone.

WHEN YOU KNOW BETTER,
YOU DO BETTER - Maya Angelou

“Jennifer’s approach to equity and inclusiveness work is undoubtedly empathetic, passionate, and holistic. As an agent of transformational change, she calls on the unique vantage point that unites lived experience with evidence-based approaches to facilitation. She has elucidated the broad perspectives of issues related to equity, diversity, and inclusion through concrete and tangible real-world examples (including current and historical). Starting with the comprehensive land acknowledgement and throughout the entirety of Jennifer’s workshop, the profound depth and integrated scope of her equity work were evident. Jennifer has effectively managed and accommodated a learning space that fostered meaningful paradigm shifts. I'm confident that organizations that are in search of opportunities to promote a healthy and inclusive work culture, would benefit tremendously from one of the many client centered services offered at Racial Lens."
